Manual changers

In the manually controlled screen, Cofit has paid particular attention to simplicity of use. In the CL series screenchangers, to replace the filtering screen in use and insert the clean screen, a simple movement of the operator is sufficient.
All lines are of reasonable dimensions and can reach high temperatures through reduced power, guaranteeing a reduced absorption and therefore a significant saving in energy.
They are easy to use and to maintain, which means a low running costs.

Versatility

The range of manual screenchangers is designed to guarantee a practical installation and provide quality filtration as well as maximum reduction of the space occupied.

This is the reason why the manual screenchangers are easily inserted in pre-existing lines where there is limited space available.

Safety

In the screenchanger there is no risk of leakage or dispersion of the melted material during the sliding of the two plates. Each mobile plate slides through two bronze rings, and one Teflon ring. The heat expansion of the Teflon ring pushes the bronze ring against the mobile plate, thus creating a tight seal which prevents any leakage of material.

For work at particularly high temperatures or pressures, Teflon can be replaced by other special materials, such as PEEC or RULON.
Alternatively simple mechanical seals (rubber or plastic materials), or even plain bushings, can be used when the system works below 100°C, with low operating pressures.
