Ratchet operated, intermittent flow screenchanger
The particularity of this screen changer is the way how the operator moves the lever in order to change the filter.
The drive works by small movements in succession of the control lever. The working of the lever communicates the movement to a series of gears that transmit the movement to the sliding plate with the filtering units and push it towards the outside.
Operation
The CR series has a steel body through which the melted material to be filtered travels. The flow goes through a sliding plate where there are two filtering units, in which a high quality filtering screen can be inserted (optional).
The two filtering units work alternately.
When the unit in operation needs to be replaced, an engineer simply operates the manual lever (a reversible ratchet) which pushes the filtering unit. This movement brings the dirty filter to the outside in order to make it accessible for cleaning and at the same time the second unit is moved into a working position so that the filtering process can continue.

The applications
CR is designed for re-granulation, compounding, blow moulding and recycling plants of thermoplastic materials such as PE, PP, ABS, PET, PS, etc.
In particular the CR screenchanger is employed in plants for blow processing, where more extruders converge at the same point. It is also suitable for the production of tubular and linear film, flat plate, profiles, etc.
